We started Frosty Dream because we knew the difference. We had tasted it. And once you have, ordinary frozen desserts stop being enough.
What Gelato Really Is
Gelato is one of the most misunderstood words in the food world.
It is not simply the Italian word for ice cream. True gelato follows a specific craft tradition that has been refined over centuries in Italy. Lower fat content than ice cream. Higher density. Served at a slightly warmer temperature so every flavour is fully alive on the palate. Made in small batches, consumed fresh, and never compromised for the sake of shelf life or convenience.
Only frozen desserts made following this tradition deserve to be called gelato. We hold every batch we make to that standard.
